GPS Stamp Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-14

Scope

This policy covers GPS Stamp, Android package com.kedge.gpsstamp, version 1.0.5. This release contains no advertising, subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. It does not require a user account or automatically upload captured media to an operator server.

Media and editing records

Photos, videos, imported images, custom logos and watermark notes are processed on your device. Exported media is saved to the system gallery or a folder you authorize. A private local index stores media references, timestamps, watermark settings, notes and any location snapshot used in the output. These records are used to display and manage your gallery and, when an original is available, create edited copies.

Private photo originals

You may keep private photo originals for seven days or thirty days, or disable their retention. Cleanup is performed while the app is used, including when it opens or retention settings change; this is not a guaranteed background deletion timer. Editing records can remain until the corresponding gallery item is deleted. This release does not retain unstamped video originals.

Permissions

Camera access is needed to capture photos and videos. Microphone access is optional and used to record video sound. Location access is optional and used while the camera screen is active for visible address, coordinate and accuracy fields, and optional photo GPS metadata. The app does not request background location. Photo Picker and Android folder selection let you choose specific images, logos or an output folder without granting access to your entire library.

Location and system address services

Android location and address services depend on your device and system provider. Address lookup may send the current coordinates to the system geocoding provider and return an address or city. The operator does not choose or operate this system provider. This release does not enable a separate map snapshot endpoint. Denying or revoking location permission stops new location access; photos and silent videos can still be captured. Visible location text becomes part of a saved image when selected, even if GPS metadata is disabled.

Sharing

Media is shared only when you choose to share it using Android's share interface. The receiving app or service handles its copy under its own terms. The app does not operate a public feed, messaging service or cloud photo account.

Support email

If you contact support, kedge receives the email address, message and attachments that you choose to send. These are used to answer your request and resolve the reported issue, and are retained only as needed for that purpose unless retention is required by law. You may request deletion at kedgeyuan@gmail.com. Your email provider handles message delivery under its own privacy policy. The app does not send emails or attach media automatically.

Deletion and control

You can delete media through the app gallery, control private-original retention, disable photo GPS metadata and change permissions in Android settings. Deleting an app-managed gallery item removes its associated local editing record and available private original. Copies previously shared or exported elsewhere may remain outside the app's control. Uninstalling removes private app data; exported media in the system gallery or your chosen folder can remain. The app does not create online accounts, so there is no online account-deletion process.

Security and network boundary

Private app data is kept in Android app-private storage; system backup is disabled in the app manifest. No operator media-upload, advertising or purchase-validation connection is included in this release. System location and geocoding processing is subject to the implementation and policies of the device's system provider. We do not represent that every system-provider network operation has been independently audited.

Audience and privacy requests

The application is intended as a general recording tool, including work-site visits and inspections, and is not designed specifically for children. For privacy questions or requests concerning information the operator may possess, use the contact above. Local media remains under your control; the operator cannot remotely retrieve or delete files it does not hold. Applicable statutory rights remain available.

Policy changes

The published effective date identifies this version of the policy. If a future release enables advertising, purchases, cloud services or a map provider, its data flows and updated policy must be disclosed before those services are enabled.
