This policy describes the free, ad-free first release of PDF Easy. It has no accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, in-app purchases or automatic data uploads.

Documents and local processing

Reading, image conversion, PDF image export, DOCX conversion, compression, merging, annotations, watermarks and handwritten signing take place on your device. PDF Easy does not transmit your document contents, selected images, notes or signatures to the developer or a server. It does not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, location, usage analytics or diagnostic reports.

Imported PDFs are copied into private app storage. Document names, original file paths, favorites, tags and tag colors, page bookmarks, reading positions and preferences are stored locally. An editing draft may be kept in the app cache to restore an interrupted session. A signature is embedded into a document you create and is not saved as a reusable signature profile. The app does not offer cloud storage or cloud backup.

File selection and sharing

When you open Files, PDF Easy can request file access to discover PDF documents across shared storage. Android 11 and later use All files access; older Android versions use storage read permission. The app scans locally without uploading document contents, names or paths. It lists accessible PDFs without copying every file, and creates a private copy when you open or manage one. Other apps’ private folders remain inaccessible. You may decline or revoke this permission and continue choosing individual documents through the Android system picker. Photos also use the system picker, without broad photo-library permission. A selected cloud provider operates under its own policy.

Sharing occurs only when you choose to share a file. Android grants temporary access to the receiving app. That app and any destination you select process the shared content under their own policies. You decide whether to save copies outside the app.

Support email

If you choose to contact support through your email app, we receive the email address, message and attachments you send. We use that information to respond to your request and resolve the reported issue. Support messages are retained only as needed for that purpose, unless retention is required by law. You may request deletion by contacting kedgeyuan@gmail.com. Your email provider handles delivery under its own policy.

Retention and deletion

Deleting a document from the library deletes its app-private copy and library entry. Clearing app storage or uninstalling deletes the app data stored on the device. Copies exported to a folder or shared with another app remain in those locations until you remove them there. Temporary export files older than 24 hours are cleaned up during a later app launch. Android may also clear cached files when it needs storage.

Security and user control

Local document copies are stored in Android app-private storage. Export and sharing use Android system mechanisms and temporary file access grants. You can control the files you select, revoke provider access through Android settings, delete documents, clear storage or uninstall the app. The app does not create user accounts, so there is no account deletion process.

Children, future versions and changes

PDF Easy is a general document utility, not a service designed specifically for children. This release has no advertising or tracking. If future releases introduce advertising, subscriptions or different data practices, this policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before those changes are released.
